Jobe London Threatens Legal Action over Death Hoaxes
Jobe London is going down the legal route after finding out that he was the subject of a death hoax.
On Thursday morning, 26 August, social media users claimed that the Amapiano artist had died. This prompted widespread tributes and messages of condolences from heartbroken fans.
Soon, however, London – very much alive and unimpressed – posted back-to-back messages on Twitter: “STOP IT!!! [sic]” and “YOLL ARE SO INSENSITIVE BRUH [sic].”
Later in the day, the “Ayi Suka” singer posted a statement from his legal representatives on his social media accounts, in which they threatened to take action against those who spread false rumours about his supposed death.
The statement reads: “As under the auspices of our law, defamation may result in either criminal or civil action. Azania Legal Advisory and Consultancy will be in continuous consultation and communication with Mr Thabang Thanyane, professionally known as Jobe London, to ensure continuous legal protection.”
There you go, folks – don’t say London and his team didn’t warn you!
